{"id":306,"date":"2007-11-12T11:32:50","date_gmt":"2007-11-12T11:32:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.okinawa.com\/blog\/?p=306"},"modified":"2007-11-12T11:32:50","modified_gmt":"2007-11-12T11:32:50","slug":"mystic-lands-far-far-east","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.okinawa.com\/blog\/research\/poetry\/mystic-lands-far-far-east","title":{"rendered":"Mystic lands far&#8211;Far East"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In mystic lands far-Far East Tropic of Cancer mapped.  <br \/>\nWhere wind swirls sea like rising yeast upon the coral capped.<br \/>\n&nbsp;Here a group of islands lay in blue ocean with white foam.  <br \/>\nPeaceful lands with simple ways Uchinanchu (Oo-chin-nan-chew) call their home.<br \/>\n&nbsp;People of land and sea, joyful when days begin.  <br \/>\nToil to evenings when free, dance to play of Sanshin.    <br \/>\nWorship of the elements, commit to daily prayer.<br \/>\n&nbsp;Matriarch embellishments of ritual household fare.    <br \/>\nFire Goddess called Hinukan near by the hearth does dwell.<br \/>\n&nbsp;Pray to this shrine when evils spawn and break their wicked spell.<br \/>\n&nbsp;It&#8217;s a land of festivals, too many to be counted.  <br \/>\nTug of war or fighting bulls, or sugarcane harvest mounted.    <br \/>\nIt&#8217;s a land where work is tough in the sweltering tropical heat.  <br \/>\nFishing, cutting cane is rough when you drip sweat from head to feet.    <br \/>\nIt&#8217;s a land of ghosts and haunting where spirit and real world merge.<br \/>\n&nbsp;A place that some find daunting when fears above reason surge.    <br \/>\nIt&#8217;s a land of religious wonder, beliefs strengthened by the clan.  <br \/>\nEach achievement and blunder determined by cosmic plan.    <br \/>\nIn mystic lands far-Far East, on an ocean deep and blue.  <br \/>\nIn the islands of simple peace, I&#8217;ll be waiting there for you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In mystic lands far-Far East Tropic of Cancer mapped.
