line-height: 130%; text-align: left;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: rgb(46, 46, 46); line-height: 130%;\"><font face=\"Century\">Founder of Nomura Ryu(Style) (uta-sanshin)<o:p><\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" style=\"margin: 0mm 0mm 0pt 12pt; line-height: 200%; text-align: left;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"3\"><font face=\"Century\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Nomura was born in Sakiyama (some say Akabira), Shuri, on <\/span><st1:date year=\"1805\" day=\"2\" month=\"6\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">June 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, 1805<\/span><\/st1:date><span lang=\"EN-US\">.<span style=\"\">  <\/span>He was on of the premier students of Chinen Sensei.<span style=\"\">  <\/span>He emphasized a more natural singing style rather than the more elaborate singing style of his teacher and fellow student, Shingen Afuso.<span style=\"\"> <\/span><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0mm 0mm 0pt; line-height: 200%;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><font size=\"3\"><font face=\"Century\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><span style=\"\"> <\/span>On orders from the last Ryukyuan King, Sho Tai, Master Nomura began the process of editing the Chinen KunKunShi.<span style=\"\">  <\/span>Accompanying him on this task were; Shinshin Matsumura (Main editor), Kishaba, and Seiki Yamauchi.<span style=\"\">  <\/span>Highlights of the changes could be seen,<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" style=\"margin: 0mm 0mm 0pt 62.25pt; text-indent: -20.25pt; line-height: 200%; text-align: left;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"\"><span style=\"\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Century\">1)<\/font><span roman=\"\" new=\"\" times=\"\" style=\"\">       <\/span><\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"><font size=\"3\"><font face=\"Century\">One, in new print-like writing style of the KunKunShi notes themselves and,<o:p><\/o:p><\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" style=\"margin: 0mm 0mm 0pt 62.25pt; text-indent: -20.25pt; line-height: 200%; text-align: left;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"\"><span style=\"\"><font size=\"3\" face=\"Century\">2)<\/font><span roman=\"\" new=\"\" times=\"\" style=\"\">       <\/span><\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"><font size=\"3\"><font face=\"Century\">The spacing of the notes and addition of standard border lines and all accompanying rhythm markings as well as singing phrases became more orderly and clear to the reader.<o:p><\/o:p><\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" style=\"margin: 0mm 0mm 0pt; line-height: 200%; text-align: left;\" class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\"><font size=\"3\"><font face=\"Century\">The three volume revision was finally completed in August, 1865.<span style=\"\">  <\/span>It included 150 pieces, and the name of it is Kintei KunKunShi.<span style=\"\">  <\/span>This version is the model and foundation of all Nomura Ryu KunKunShi found today.<span style=\"\">  <\/span>The heirs of the Nomura Style were previously mentioned Matsumura, Kishaba, and Yamauchi.<span style=\"\">  <\/span>He is represented by the many associations which bear his name.<o:p><\/o:p><\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\" style=\"margin: 0mm 0mm 0pt 18pt;
